Dr Josh Kirshner participates in Ask the Author series
On 17th July 2020 our CESET partner Dr Josh Kirshner discussed his recently published paper 'Energy access is needed to maintain health during pandemics', that he co-authored with Professor Vanesa Castán Broto. Josh participated in the Ask the Author series organised by York Environmental Sustainability Institute, University of York.
Josh explained how energy plays a central role in responding to emergencies such as the COVID-19 pandemic, from ensuring adequate healthcare services to supporting households during lockdowns. Protecting the renewable energy industry and its contribution to providing sustainable energy access for all must be an urgent priority in the current crisis.
