Workshop Series: Energy Resilience in Pacific Island Countries and Territories

Our CESET partner Dr Long Seng To from Loughborough University led a workshop series on Energy Resilience in Pacific Island Countries and Territories on 1-4 December 2020 in collaboration with the University of New South Wales, University of the South Pacific and University of Papua New Guinea. The workshops focused on planning and investment, the political economy of off-grid solar and community energy resilience strategies in response to disasters. A background paper was developed for the series with case studies from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Tokelau and Australia. Preliminary findings from the workshops were presented at the Second Urban Resilience Asia Pacific conference.
